We also recommend you to walk the walking path next to the river that crosses the orchards reaching Kato Potamia.
There you can admire the Venetian towers (Kokkos, Magakis), the historical fountain and the restored watermill of Gryllakis (the only one of the 14 that existed).
From the places of archaeological interest, you can visit the Venetian castle of Potamia, the “Apano castle” as it is otherwise called. The Geometric Cemetery of Tsikalari (900-800 BC).
You can also visit Kouros and Kori ton Melani, two of the most characteristic monuments not only of Naxos but also of Greece, following a beautiful walking path.
